I spent years in property management—starting by leasing apartments and eventually managing full portfolios for multiple investors. This was my first taste of juggling customer service, behind-the-scenes operations, and all the spinning plates that come with running something bigger than yourself.

Next stop: Patient Coordinator in the dental industry. I handled multi-doctor schedules, email marketing, social media, and systems to make everything smoother for patients and staff. I loved it—until burnout hit. Hard. I knew I was ready for a new chapter, one that gave me freedom, flexibility, and a sense of purpose.

Enter Alex Porterfield’s Influencer Support Method course on Instagram. I took the leap, completed her training, and launched “She’s Virtual Megan,” offering virtual assistant services to real estate agents and
home stagers across the country. I finally had a business… but something still felt off.
I moved back to St. Louis (where I always knew I’d end up) and stepped into managing downtown loft buildings. Shortly after, I found myself running a UPS Store—and that’s when everything clicked. Leading a small team, building relationships with local business owners, coordinating chaos, and designing print materials? I was in my zone. That experience planted the seed: Maybe I could do this kind of work… for myself.

Cue the turning point: a local business friend needed help at a vendor market. I offered to pitch in, combining virtual support with in-person assistance—and it was magic. THIS was it. Helping local business owners with services I already knew how to deliver, but adding face-to-face connection and real-time support? That felt like coming home.
Through local networking and working with a business coach, I honed in on exactly what lit me up: being the reliable, real-deal support system for women running incredible businesses in St. Louis.
That’s when STL Biz Bestie was born. And for the first time in my entrepreneurial journey, it felt SO right.
I was born in St. Louis and lived here until third grade, when my mom’s job moved us to Southwest Missouri. Even as a kid, I didn’t want to leave—and I promised myself I’d be back. Every summer, my sister and I would return for long visits with our grandmas, aunts, uncles, and cousins. And fun fact: during one of those summer visits before high school, I met the boy who would later become my husband!
In August 2016, 25-year-old me finally kept that childhood promise and moved back to St. Louis for good. Since then, I’ve called just about every corner of the city home—Central West End, St. Louis Hills, South City, and now South County.
What I love most about St. Louis is its heart. This city shows up—whether it's celebrating wins or rallying during hard times. The community here is unmatched, and the local business scene? Full of magic and opportunity.
I approach every client relationship like the trusted friend you turn to when you need someone who truly gets it. While I maintain professionalism in all business aspects, I strive to be a safe space where you can be honest about struggles, excited about new ideas, and confident that someone has your back.
I don't just complete tasks—I take pride in your business as if it were my own. I cheer you on, share your services with others when appropriate, attend your events and pop-ups, and show up for you beyond our contracted work. You're not getting a transaction; you're getting a genuine advocate for your success.
